od is to add some message at start or end of information, the additional information i fuel dispenser s authentication code that generated from calculation of message command. Authentication code correlate to message contents and used to verify accuracy if message. MAC has 4 byte length. Firstly, message is decoded after reception; then, decode authentication code by prescribed calculating mode. Thirdly, compare the two authentication code, if they are same, message has not been modified during transmission; if different, they have been modified. Chapter IV Station’s safety and environmental protection Article I Lightningproof The design and construction of filling station for vehicle should comply with the following requirements: The ligntningproof point of tank at least has two with resistance less than 10Ω. It is very important to steel tank for reducing ligntning potential and step voltage. The number of grounding point and earthing resistance are regulated based upon domestic regulation and 20 years practice. As for ground steel tank with fire-resistance need not install lightning conductor because its continuous electric capacity. Horizontal tank generally has more than 4mm steel board, processing lightning protection function as long as making earthing. T fuel dispenser herefore, it could need to install lightning conductor. All metal parts of tank body, indicating window and fire-resistance device of buried tank should grounding connection, resistance not exceeding 10. The reason for doing that is to provide a passage for direct lightning and lightning induction, preventing serious damage. Ground tank storing flammable oil could only make lightning grounding. As vapor density of ground tank is lower and ignite point is high, lightning not easily to ignite oil in short time, this kind of tank just need the lightning grounding. However, the near construction and building should be calculated in terms of distance of anti-lightning. Station building and awning should adopt lightning belt to prevent strike. ows configuration 3 (note not all possible CHD or POS peripherals are shown). fuel dispenser POS OPTCRIND Pin Pad POS Mag Stripe ICC Device Proxy EPS Printer Configuration 1 is the target basic system: POSEPS interface. Configuration 2 is unlikely to be object of standardisation because it is not an optimal option: it is adopted only if compulsory for some reasons (e.g. bank owned CAT). Following existing interfaces the EPS application should implement the proprietary interface to the CAT; the preferred solution is that the CAT implements the POSEPS interface. Configuration 3 is similar to configuration 1 because the assumption is that no proprietary semiintelligent device is adopted. The target solutions are two: 1. The device OPTCRIND is a POS application interfacing an EPS application as for normal POSEPS. 2. The device OPTCRIND is an em fuel dispenser pty box only the peripherals are installed. But the device proxy offers a third opportunity: 3. The device OPTCRIND is composed of the device proxy and the peripherals offering peripherals access to both of the applications. The outdoor configuration will involve exploiting the existing IFSF connection or a LAN connection (TCPIP e.g. wireless) depending on the requirements and the cost of implementation. The indoor configurations are easy to link. August 2002 IFSF STANDARD FORECOURT PROTOCOL FP319_1.00 EPS POS INTERFACE SPECIFICATION fuel dispenser

About sponsorship Economics focus Curve ball Sep 28th 2006 From The Economist print edition A link between unemployment and inflation is fashionable again IF HAIRCUTS and dress styles can come back into fashion, then so can economic theories. That is why policymakers have recently been debating the implications of the shape of that very 1960s concept, the Phillips curve. The Phillips curve was named after A.W. Phillips, whose research suggested a trade-off between British unemployment and wage inflation over the period 1861 to 1957. The curve was widely used in the 1960s. Economists developed models that gave politicians a neat way to find the right balance between the two factors; for every percentage-point fall in unemployment, inflation would rise by, say, half a point. But in the 1970s, the trade-off between unemployment and inflation seemed to evaporate; both rose at the same time, a phenomenon known as stagflation. As Stephen King, chief economist at HSB fuel dispenser C, says, “The Phillips curve relationship did exist as long as governments weren t perceived to be exploiting it. When they did, they ended up with accelerating inflation. Even before the curve began to break down in practice, Milton Friedman had cast doubt on the theory, as had Edmund Phelps, another American economist. The doubters argued that workers would demand higher wages to protect themselves against the rise in inflation. Thus the only effect of government stimulus would be to increase inflation for the same level of employment; in the long run, the Phillips curve became vertical. So the Phillips curve fell out of favour and was replaced by its corollary, the NAIRU, or non-accelerating inflation rate of unemployment (in effect, fuel dispenser
