me meter is a meter measuring liquid volume accumulatively, which consists of measurement transducer, calculator and indicator devices. When measuring liquid flow past the measured transducer, its mechanical measuring components divide flowing liquid into volume unit, then flow out together. At the same time it transforms the volume unit into relative position change value, indicating the total flowing volume by calculator and indicator devices. Measurement transducer once is called meter, which is the key parts in flow meter. 3. Additional devices Additional devices are apparatus aiming at ensure the accuracy of fuel dispenser, such as pump, oil-air separator, nozzle, solenoid valve, filter, oil indicator, pipeline, etc. 4 fuel dispenser . Ancillary devices Ancillary devices are adapted to realize other special functions of fuel dispenser, such as payment indicator, pre-setting, oil-air recovery, taxation interface, IC card read, amount indicator, zero-clear, etc. Article II Fuel dispenser’s development history Fuel dispenser is created and developed along with the development of automotive industry, petrol industry, and transportation industry. Diagram 1-1: Earlier fuel dispenser The first fuel dispenser in world, manufactured in the early of 20 century, is made of manual suction pump, transparent cylinder with scales, and switch (see the 1-1 diagram). The certain volume fuels flow into the vehicle’s tank by means of gravity, controlled by switch. The paid volume is decided by the operator eye-measuring the scales. Manual pump is replaced by motor pump until in 1920s, and the transp fuel dispenser arent cylinder by flow meter with scales (see Diagram 1-2). In 1940s, indicative handle calculator developed as wheel calculator, function having changed from indicator volume only into measuring volume, money, and unit price adjustment as well (see Diagram 1-3). The development of electronic technique in the 1970s promotes the evolution of indicator operation and control management of fuel dispenser. The end of 20th cent fuel dispenser

t period of 8 seconds. However if a recipient node is unable to respond it must reply with an ACK. If for instance the device was busy it replies with a MSG_ACK of NAK7 or if the Read Message contains an invalid database address the device replies with a MSG_ACK of NAK6. An Answer Message is a message which provides to the originator of a Read Message all the requested data elements. A Write Message is used to send data from an originator to a recipient device. The identifier of the data element is defined in the recipient device. It is possible to write a multiple data elements in the one command. This is achieved fuel dispenser by issuing a message including a list of data elements and their values. Sending a Command is considered as writing a data element with no value. The same message is able to send commands and data elements used as parameters. The recipient must respond to the Write Message with an Acknowledge Message within the time-out period of 8 seconds. An Unsolicited Data Message with Acknowledge is used for sending data elements. The recipient must respond to this message with an Acknowledge Message within the defined time-out of 8 seconds. The only difference from a Write Message is that the data elements (database address data identifier data element contents) are defined in the originator device. An Unsolicited Data Me fuel dispenser ssage without Acknowledge is used for sending data elements (e.g. status change error) where the recipient must not respond to the message. The Acknowledge Message is used by the recipient of a message (write unsolicited with acknowledge) to respond. February 2006 IFSF - STANDARD FORECOURT PROTOCOL fuel dispenser

ut sponsorship Europe s investment regulations Ready or not Sep 7th 2006 | FRANKFURT AND LONDON From The Economist print edition Europe s financial sector is ill prepared for a coming upheaval SOME of the most breathless commentary about Europe s financial markets in recent years has centred on the intrigues and dalliances of leading financial exchanges. All of them have flirted with, encouraged and snubbed various potential partners in both Europe and America, although no big deals have yet been completed. Amid the chatter, an important cause of all the matchmaking and matchbreaking has been largely overlooked a piece of looming legislation that, for all its drab detail, will alter the European Union s fuel dispenser financial markets profoundly. Exchanges are not the only ones to feel the hot breath of the unenticingly labelled Markets in Financial Instruments Directive, known as MiFID, which is due to take effect from November 2007. An important element of the EU s plan for a single market in financial services, the directive embraces both wholesale and retail trading in securities, including shares, bonds and derivatives. As such, it will affect companies from investment banks to asset managers and stockbrokers. Some will benefit more than others (see chart). Charlie McCreevy, the European commissioner in charge of forging a single market, jokes about the ugly moniker “This is not a fearsome man-eating plant. But he is evangelical about the directive s purpose. He expects MiFID to “transformthe trading of securities in Europe, reducing the cost of capital, fuel dispenser creating growth and increasing Europe s competitiveness in the global economy. The directive, which EU member states are supposed to weave into their own laws by January 2007, intends to accomplish all this in several ways. First, the rules aim to increase competition across borders, by extending the “single passport which allows financial firms to do business across Europe armed only with the approval fuel dispenser
